G.A.S. is manufacturer of trace detectors for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Besides other analytical techniques Ion Mobility Spectrometry, IMS,
is primarily applied.

The ion mobility spectrometer of G.A.S. represent customized problem solutions and stand out due to extreme sensitivity (ppbv-/pptv-range), speed of measurement and an attractive value for money ratio. Several patents protect G.A.S.' intellectual property.

The FlavourSpec is a device made for the food control that measures VOCs in the head-space of liquids or solids.
Besides the possibility of quantifying single compounds, a purpose-made software allows to match the peak pattern with sensory wise defined flavours. The result classifies unknown samples and characterizes e.g. their quality. This concept corresponds to the so-called 'electronic nose', whereas the FlavourSpec does a physical separation/detection of the volatile compounds due to its GC-IMS arrangement.

The A-IMS as well as the GC-IMS are used to measure the concentration of siloxanes in biogas or landfill/sewage power plants.

The BreathSpec has been developed to analyse VOCs that might carry important information in human breath. To achieve an optimized sampling a precise spirometer is integrated, so that meta-bolic processes can easily be monitored by the BreathSpec without any sample preparation.

The modular concept of G.A.S.’ instruments allows an individual configuration that is realized according to each application e.g. with direct, membrane or 6-port-valve inlet as well as by applying a radioactive (A-IMS, MCC-IMS) or ultraviolet (UV-IMS) ionisation for aromatics.

To precisely quantify the first sulphur free odorant in natural gas Gasodor S-Free the portable and certified µIMS-ODOR as well as the fully automatic on-line monitoring device IMS-ODOR represent excellent solutions to the gas industry.
